!~Super 15 rugby final live stream.Preview, score update coverage

Chiefs will defend their Super 15 rugby title against Australia’s ACT Brumbies in New Zealand after tense semifinal victories this weekend.

The Chiefs surged home with a 17-point burst in the second half to down seven-time Super Rugby champions Canterbury Crusaders 20-19 in Hamilton, and will again host the final against the Brumbies next Saturday.

Watch Live Super Rugby

The Brumbies will play in their sixth Super Rugby final after snatching a dramatic 26-23 victory over three-time winners and favourites Bulls with a try one minute from time in Pretoria.

While the Chiefs are bidding for back-to-back southern hemisphere provincial titles, the Brumbies, coached by former Springbok World Cup-winning mentor Jake White, are chasing their third Super Rugby crown after wins in 2001 and 2004.

It will be one versus three in this season’s decider, with the Chiefs finishing first and the Brumbies third overall, with the New Zealand team beating the Australians 29-22 in their only encounter this season in Hamilton on March 16.

Overall the Brumbies lead 11-6, with one game drawn.

Should the Chiefs win next weekend, it will be the 12th Super Rugby championship victory by a New Zealand team, while only the fourth by an Australian side should the Brumbies prevail.

The Chiefs, who beat the Crusaders 20-17 on the same ground in the semifinals in 2012, were the underdogs going into Saturday’s match, given the Crusaders’ menacing lead-up form.

With Kieran Read and George Whitelock heading a marauding Crusaders forward pack they forced the Chiefs on to the back foot and led 9-3 at half-time.

The Crusaders continued to dominate in the opening plays of the second half to keep the Chiefs scrambling, but when All Black ace Dan Carter missed a second penalty the Chiefs discovered their second wind.

In a golden 10-minute spell they piled on 17 points to lead 20-9 before they grimly held out a late Crusaders charge.

"We made it hard for ourselves with our set piece," Chiefs captain Craig Clarke said, adding their scoring blitz came from a change of tactics. "We spread the ball more than we have in previous weeks and they couldn’t settle into their strong defensive system."

There was drama late at Loftus Versfeld when Brumbies flyhalf Matt Toomua sent outside-centre Tevita Kuridrani over for a try that had to be adjudicated by the South African television match official (TMO) after the referee queried a possible forward pass. Amid tension, TMO Shaun Veldsman gave the green light and inside centre Christian Lealiifano converted for a 16-point haul.

There was still time for the kick-off and a chance for the Bulls to equalise or even regain the lead, but they lost possession and the Brumbies kicked the ball into touch to end the game.

"I am extremely proud of the team as you cannot underestimate the challenge (of) taking on the Bulls in Pretoria," said Brumbies skipper Ben Mowen. "We did well during the first half, but knew the Bulls would come back after the break. Fitness was a major factor as we were well prepared to go the distance." It was the first time the Bulls had lost a Super Rugby finals match in Pretoria.

Chiefs coach Dave Rennie has made four changes to his team for Friday's Super Rugby semi-final against the Crusaders.

Prop Sona Taumalolo and hooker Mahonri Schwagler return to the front row, while Ben Afeaki has been named on the bench after an absence of six weeks.

Tanerau Latimer retains his place at openside meaning a bench spot for All Black tearaway Sam Cane.

The backline is the same one that faced the Crusaders in Round 17 with Andrew Horrell starting in the midfield outside Sonny Bill Williams, while Asaeli Tikoirotuma and Tim Nanai-Williams take their place on the wings with Robbie Robinson reverting to full-back.

All Blacks prop Ben Franks will replace his brother Owen in the Crusaders' starting line-up.

Having started in last week's play-off win over the Bulls, Owen makes way for his sibling in the only change to the Crusaders' 22.

As reported earlier this week, Kieran Read is unavailable because of a rib injury, which means Richie McCaw will continue to play at eight in his team-mate's absence while Matt Todd will retain the number seven jersey.

Chiefs: 15 Robbie Robinson, 14 Tim Nanai-Williams, 13 Andrew Horrell, 12 Sonny Bill Williams, 11 Asaeli Tikoirotuma, 10 Aaron Cruden, 9 Tawera Kerr-Barlow, 8 Kane Thompson, 7 Tanerau Latimer, 6 Liam Messam, 5 Brodie Retallick, 4 Craig Clarke (c), 3 Ben Tameifuna, 2 Mahonri Schwalger, 1 Sona Taumalolo.
Replacements: 16 Hika Elliot, 17 Ben Afeaki, 18 Michael Fitzgerald, 19 Sam Cane, 20 Brendon Leonard, 21 Jackson Willison, 22 Lelia Masaga.

Leinster and Ulster will descend on Twickenham to contest the 17th Heineken Cup final on Saturday with only one thing for certain: the most coveted trophy in club rugby will be returning to Ireland again.

For the fifth time in seven seasons an Irish team will lift the trophy, making their toils at international level all the more puzzling. Forget national allegiances, though, as provincial rivalry and the pursuit of personal and collective glory will ensure a partisan atmosphere in the stands and a ferocious contest on the pitch, with the rest of Europe watching on, green with envy.

Trophy holders Leinster are strong favourites to be crowned European champions for an unprecedented third time in four seasons after their impressive surge to the final. They won five out of six in the pool stage before sweeping past Cardiff Blues 34-3 and then knocked out the highly-fancied Clermont Auvergne 19-15 in a thrilling semi-final that turned out to be one of the encounters of the tournament so far.

Leinster's dazzling attacking game has set them appart from their rivals this season, leading to many pundits proclaiming them the top team in Europe already. But that honour will only be decided when the trophy is awarded on Saturday afternoon. And Ulster will be hoping their more prosaic qualities of teamwork, Ruan Pienaar's kicking and unrelenting spirit, can be enough to upset Leinster.

Ulster promise to be formidable opponents. The 1999 champions, the first Irish club to win the tournament, are back in the European rugby's final showdown after a 13-year wait. And, despite faltering in the RaboDirect Pro12 this season, their form in the Heineken Cup has been conclusive. In the quarter-final they overcame Irish rivals and two-time winners Munster 22-16 at Thomond Park before holding off Edinburgh's compelling late bid for a final spot, with a 22-19 victory over the Scots in the semi-final.

Leinster - Player to Watch: The obvious choice: Brian O'Driscoll. The Ireland skipper may not carry the armband for Leinster but is in so many ways the talisman of the team, in defence, in attack and in attitude. There were doubt over his fitness coming into the match but O'Driscoll is one of the most resilient characters in the game and he was not going to miss this one. His big hits and scavenging will be key to Leinster's defence while he has looked as dangerous as ever in attack within coach Joe Schmidt's framework.

Leinster - Team News: The defending champions welcome back Rob Kearney to the backline along with O'Driscoll. Isa Nacewa therefore shifts from fullback to left wing where he replaces Dave Kearney and Fergus McFadden on the right wing. Leo Cullen returns to skipper Leinster from second-row with Kevin McLaughlin preferred to Shane Jennings in the back-row.

Ulster - Player to Watch: If O'Driscoll is the talisman Leinster are desperate to patch up and throw into the heat of battle, then Stephen Ferris is his equivalent for Ulster. Ferris continues to defy the of limitations of persistent injuries . His big tackling will be crucial in defence if Ulster are to halt the Leinster's big runners, including Jamie Heaslip and Cian Healy, on the gain-line while his carrying in attack will be one of their biggest weapons on the day.

Ulster - Team News: Ulster's hopes are boosted by the return of Chris Henry and John Afoa to their forward pack. Back-rower Henry missed the semi-final against Edinburgh with an ankle injury while prop Afoa is back from a four-match suspension for a dangerous tackle. Young fly-half Paddy Jackson is retained ahead of Ian Humphreys, who is on the bench.

Key Battle: If Ulster are to suffocate Leinster's ruthless attacking game, they will need a huge defensive effort in plugging the holes around the ruck and stemming the flow of quick ball to the Leinster backs. Ulster will need a big workload across the board but their mighty back-row of Ferris, Henry and Pedrie Wannenburg must be at the heart of their effort. Leinster often utilise the carrying of Heaslip and others around the ruck to maintain variety in their attacks and set the platform to unleash their backs. But if the Ulster forwards can halt their opponents and force Leinster wide early, their opponent's backline will become far more predictable and far less potent.

Trivia: The Heineken Cup final is set to be shown in more than 100 countries will - none will be more transfixed than Ireland of course.

Stats: Brian O'Driscoll needs one try to equal Vincent Clerc's record of 32 tries in the history of the Heineken Cup.

Quote Unquote:

"Any time we've played them it's really been like hand-to-hand combat out there and we're not expecting anything different. I'm sure they'll be coming for us with everything they've got, but that's what finals are about." - Mike Ross, Leinster

"I am chasing one of my dreams. This is one of my dreams, to win a Heineken Cup final. I was fortunate to win a couple of Currie Cups and a couple of Super 14s and for sure this is right up there in my career. In a final, any team can win." - Pedrie Wanneburg, Ulster.

Prediction: Ulster to rise to the occassion with a super-human effort, but ultimately Leinster's extra cutting edge and big match experience will ensure they retain the trophy and underline their reputation as the best team in Europe.

The opening round of the Championship was a weekend of contrasting fortunes for the two sides.Wales - Scotland Preview: Craig Levein’s men look to maintain 100% record in Home Nations Cup The Scots, who could hand debuts to Russell Martin and James Forrest, travel to Dublin to take on Gary Speed’s side, who are yet to win since his appointment as manager.

Wales underlined their status as potential Six Nations champions with a rousing 23-21 victory over Ireland in Dublin. It was a wonderful advert for Six Nations rugby with two teams going at it hammer and tongs for a game won in the last 20 seconds.

Wales vs Scotland Live Six Nations Rugby Union Fixtures 12 Feb 2012

That win came less than 24 hours after Scotland had started their challenge with a 13-6 loss to England at Murrayfield. The Scots created enough chances to have beaten their visitors last week, however simple errors coupled with a lack of tries led to another disappointing defeat for Andy Robinson's men, who have now lost three on the trot.

Wales boss Gary Speed has an injury doubt over centre-back James Collins along with on-loan Cardiff striker Craig Bellamy, who has been carrying a hamstring injury, which saw him miss the Bluebirds' second-leg defeat in the Championship play-offs.

Speed is already without the services of Gareth Bale, Sam Ricketts, Andrew Crofts, Joe Ledley, Ched Evans, Christian Ribiero and Brian Stock due to injury, while Ashley Williams, Joe Allen, Simon Church and Hal Robson-Kanu are all unavailable due to their participation in the Championship play-off final on Monday.

Meanwhile, West Ham midfielder Jack Collison makes his international return after being out of the team for over a year with a knee injury.

Wales have claimed victory over the Scots in the last four fixtures between the countries. Scotland could hand first caps to Celtic’s James Forrest and Norwich's Russell Martin, who qualifies for the national side though his Scottish father.

A victory for Scotland would see them remain at the top of the Home Nations Cup league table going into their last fixture with the Republic of Ireland on Sunday. The Scots hold a massive advantage in the head-to-head between the two nations, having won 59 times, while Wales have only recorded 22 victories and another 22 games have ended in a draw.

Scotland must now attempt to bounce back and beat the Welsh in their own back yard - something they have failed to achieve in a decade.

They came mighty close though in their last Cardiff contest after leading by ten points with seven minutes remaining, only for the now retired Shane Williams to score a last-gasp try to secure a dramatic 31-24 come-from-behind victory.

Winning away from home has been a wee bit of a problem for the Scots in the Six Nations, where they have won just once on the road since 2006 (23-20 against Ireland at Croke Park in 2010).

But despite Scotland's poor showing last weekend and dismal away record, Wales will do well not to underestimate Sunday's visitors who are expected to come out all guns blazing after asking for the Millennium Stadium roof to be closed.

With wet weather being forecast, Scotland - notwithstanding the apparent lack of abilities to score tries (at least in the past four games) - have backed themselves to take on Wales at their own expansive game.
